CS2 TRADE-UP CONTRACT GUIDE

Trade-up contracts in CS2 allow you to trade 10 skins of the same rarity from the same or compatible collections to receive 1 skin of the next rarity tier. The output skin’s float value is calculated from the average float of the 10 input skins.

Trade-Up Float Formula

Output Float = Average Input Float × (Max Float − Min Float) + Min Float
where Max Float and Min Float are the float range of the output skin tier.

Wear TierFloat RangeAppearance
Factory New (FN)0.000 – 0.070Perfect condition
Minimal Wear (MW)0.070 – 0.150Light scratches
Field-Tested (FT)0.150 – 0.380Noticeable wear
Well-Worn (WW)0.380 – 0.450Heavy wear
Battle-Scarred (BS)0.450 – 1.000Extreme wear
⚠️ Trade-up contracts for knife skins require Classified (pink) rarity inputs from knife-containing collections. Always verify collection compatibility before conducting a trade-up. This calculator uses the standard float formula; actual results depend on server-side RNG for the output skin selection.

FAQ

The output float = Average(all input floats) × (output_max_float – output_min_float) + output_min_float. For example, if your 10 inputs have an average float of 0.18 and the output skin has a float range of 0.00–0.70, the expected output float would be 0.18 × (0.70 – 0.00) + 0.00 = 0.126, putting the output in Minimal Wear.
Yes — trade-ups using Classified (pink/★) rarity skins from knife-containing collections can produce knives. The Breakout, Huntsman, Chroma, Gamma, and Glove collections all contain knives as their Covert (red) tier. Using 10 Classified skins from these collections gives a chance to receive any knife from the same collection.
